HOSPITALITY PROJECTS
Kimpton Grand Cayman
Located on Grand Cayman’s famous Seven Mile Beach, the Kimpton Seafire Hotel & Residences is a modern lifestyle resort featuring an 8,500 square foot spa, 266 guest rooms and private beachfront bungalows. TGA Design created a comprehensive wayfinding and identity signage program that took its inspiration from traditional British Colonial design elements while capturing the modern simplicity of the architecture and interior design.
CLIENT SB Architects
1 Hotel Miami Beach
TGA Design was enlisted by the eco-friendly 1 Hotel group to collaborate on the design of a complete wayfinding and identity sign program for its South Beach location. The goal was to create a design that was in step with the minimal, natural architecture of the hotel while utilizing non-traditional solutions where possible. Wayfinding signs were strategically integrated into the floors and walls using contrasting materials or finishes for a subtle sophistication. Due to its proximity to the ocean, faux patina finishes were used on some signs instead of natural materials to lessen maintenance issues and add longevity.

Doral Yard - Miami
Located in the heart of downtown Doral, FL, The Doral Yard is a community gathering space with an emphasis on food, drink and music. An expansion to the well known Wynwood Yard, its stated mission is to “foster local culture and entrepreneurship.” TGA Design was brought in to create an iconic sign on the corner of the building that would capture the old-meets-new design style of the architecture and interiors. The signature branding was created in classic neon forms with stacked lettering reminiscent of vintage designs from another era.
CLIENT Yard Hospitality
Virgin Hotel - Chicago
TGA Design collaborated with Virgin Hotels to create an inclusive identity and wayfinding signage program for their boutique Chicago Loop hotel. The historic Art Deco building has 26 floors and features 250 guest rooms (called “chambers”), a rooftop bar, lounge spaces, a full-floor restaurant, a diner, fitness center, and an underground spa. TGA Design delivered a quirky tongue-in-cheek design package emblematic of the Virgin brand, utilizing eccentric icons and bold stylized lettering to play off the vintage-meets-modern interior and “bring back the fun” attitude.

Malliouhana, Anguilla
Perched atop cliffs overlooking the ocean, the iconic Malliouhana is known for Caribbean luxury. TGA Design provided an identity and wayfinding sign program in line with the trendy and upscale island-inspired re-design of the resort. The program featured silver pin-mounted letters for the primary identity signage and rounded wood planks with a sandblasted design and etched lettering for the wayfinding, room, and area identity signage. With 46 guest rooms, cabanas and a two-level infinity pool, a water sports center and fitness center, bars, a restaurant, and spa, the boutique resort’s exclusivity makes guests feel at home.
